Statutory Declaration

A Statutory Declaration is a declaration made under oath and according to statute. A document setting out the declaration to be made is prepared and then taken to a Solicitor, Commissioner for Oaths or a Notary Public to be sworn. A Statutory Declaration may be required for various reasons, including (but not limited to) the following:

To confirm that you are single and able to marry (often required if your Wedding is taking place abroad) To confirm that you changed your name previously by Deed but that you have lost the original Change of Name Deed To confirm personal information (such as the above) when applying for a Passport.

If you would like us to prepare a Statutory Declaration for you, please contact us. If you are in our locality and merely require a pre-prepared Statutory Declaration to be sworn, please feel free to visit our office at your convenience. Our charge for this is £5.00 per declaration.
